Anyone had a non-PAL 360 repaired by MS UK?

Has anyone successfully returned a faulty (non-PAL) 360 to Microsoft UK (within warranty) for repair? If so, was your returned repaired console the same region as the one you sent for repair?

first japanese 360 i had came back as a PAL console, so no. i think charles managed to strike lucky with his, i don`t know what magical beans he gave them for this to occur though

My first ever US one came back as a brand new US version. But that was a long time ago (2006) and the second time I tried it... well, lets just say I would have more success trying to eat soup with a fork.

My first repair came back the same US 360 but my 2nd repair came back as Pal because the feckers managed to lose it.

As long as they dont lose it your fine?.

My first machine was a US launch one, and they told me to pretty much gtf on getting it repaired over here.

Try though, nothing to lose, but i can fix yours if you have no joy. How many red lights have you got? 1 or 3?

Got my US one repaired fine a few months ago under warranty

Didn't speak to anyone. Just used xbox.com to register the fault (rrod).

i had my asian one repaired.....i did it all online printed out the labels and packed it and then they got a ups guy to pick it up

repaired it...and its still the asian machine

I don't know why people tell them its a non pal machine. Your just asking them to say no. Xbox.com FTW.

Microsoft UK offered to replace my American 360 with a repaired European version, because I have a somewhat mid-Atlantic accent. I imagine if I was speaking heavy Geordie, the outcome would have been different.

In any case, I turned down the offer, because I have no use for a European machine. Interesting that they used to be able to send replacement US versions out... I imagine it's not difficult for Microsoft to change the region code.

I'm guessing that if they have to replace the board, you'll get a PAL one back.

I don't actually have a non-PAL unit yet. I just wanted to check to see what peoples experiences were. Don't think I'll be buying an Asian model yet until I can secure a Jasper unit.
