    U.S Imports?

Where do people get their U.S games from now? I've recently picked up a US Wii and need to get up to speed (really want GH Metallica 360 too ).
I used to use videogamesplus/ebay back in the day, where would people recommend now? (Price, speed of delivery & avoiding customs charges are key for me)

    Thanks

VG+ is probably best right now on all three counts, but it's a baaaad time to be importing, bloody sterling

I've got some US Wii games in my trading thread if you're interested

I buy everything with VGP now. Also bought consoles and they always were so kind to mark down prices to avoid custom charges...even a PS3 passed uncharged.

        VG+ all the way.

ebay can also be good if you can find a reliable seller.

VG+ is always the first choice, second being a quick search for a UK-based eBay seller.

Failing that, NCSX or Tronix. I find NCSX to be extremely reliable, but the postage can sting, so it depends how desperate I am to get the game quickly.

I've been using Movietyme for my DS games for some time now as they ship a lot of stuff from the UK, making it quicker and cheaper, but most everything else I get from VG+. If I want something as fast as possible I use Tronix because they offer great rates on Fed-Ex 48 hour shipping. It still costs a fair bit more than regular airmail mind, but if you want a pre-order ASAP they're easily the fastest.

              VG+ or Tronix generally.

Have you ever had custom charges from MovieTyme, Matty? I remember getting LBP from them and that was a good experience (despite the obvious delay though), so maybe I'll use them again.

Thanks all, looks like VG+ is generally still the best option out there. Good to know i'm not too far out the loop

VG+ FTW at present, $CDN seems to be much kinder on the wallet than US$ at the moment.

Just out of interest...DVD Box Office any good?

Only if you don't mind waiting ages for stuff to turn up. Their prices haven't been very competitive for ages though.

I've never been charged, but then I tend not to buy large amounts in one go. I can't remember if they mark down or not but I know they do ship a lot of stuff from the UK anyway.

$CDN is definitely the better option - when I bought Madworld it was nearly a tenner cheaper by buying in CND instead of USD.

As for DVD Box Office, I think they've become pretty gash lately and I stopped using them. They failed to send out two or three pre-orders in a row, and they also seem to not restock anything once they sell out, so if the item you ordered goes out of stock before yours is sent out you'll never get it. Their prices keep creeping up too.

I think all software is reshipped from within the UK, so no you wont get charged Customs. Pretty much everything I have had in the the way of DVds/Games has been marked down to $20 on the envelope aswell

Cheers for the heads-up about DVD Box Office, guys - looks like I'll be giving them a wide berth. Shame, as the webiste looks pretty decent.

As for Movietyme...I'm intrigued but a little confused. Having just browsed their website, can anybody confirm what currency they're displaying their prices in? It would appear to be in ?s but I'm not sure...
