Igor has spies watching this forum, so beware!

In all seriousness though, ShopTo should sort you out by law but I doubt you will get very far with their customer service.

Actually there are lots of big companies which don't bother to turn up for small claims (would cost them more in lawyer wages than they'd lose) so you get a default judgement.

If they do however sick the lawyers on you, you'll stand zero chance.

You may want to search out my thread from about 6 months ago. They told me a similar story and i posted on how i got them to..

            1) send me a refurb console
            2) renew the warranty

            all for ?15

I suggest you ask to talk to the customer repair centre in Germany. The Indian call centre are rubbish and do not budge on the price quoted

I didn't even bother ringing them up, filled out the thing online saying it had the RROD, rather than the E74 error, one week later... UPS show up with the replacement ! =)

I had this too, my console had RROD'd, then was repaired unofficially. About 7 months later, the thing got all sorts of video glitches. Both MS UK and MS USA quoted me stupid figures to fix their hardware error, so I ended up selling it as as scrap on eBay (got 50 pounds).

I still miss Halo 3 but the anger has not yet subsided.

Slightly OT but I still havent bought a 360 due to the failures rates. Im hoping that Jasper will rectify things, but its still not old enough to judge yet Alternatively i'm hoping that MS releases a redesigned 'PSOne' esque 360.

No offence intended to everybody whos actually had a faulty 360, but I saw this clip yesterday and couldnt help but laugh!:-

(Not great if you understand German)

Anyway, as others have said I would either try bring on the RROD, or just register a new fault of 'intermitant red rings', I had to do this online for a frriend a while ago and its pretty easy

                    The solution!

I still do not understand why people go to the effort of speaking to them.
