PC crashes after Idle

Anyone offer any thoughts as to why this is happening ? if I leave my PC for an hour or so and then wake it up it'll run for a minute and then the screen will freeze. I originally thought it might be a software issue as I'm running the windows 7 beta as my main OS but now I'm not sure. Any advice ?

My bet would be the RAM, windows rarely totally freeze like that through software issues.

try running memtest

Could be a poor ACPI implementation on your motherboard, could try looking for BIOS updates.

Or maybe even a graphics card driver that doesn't like coming out of sleep. Could be a number of things.

Try disabling and screen savers and see if it does the same. Had a similar problem years back and that was to be blame.
