Dell 2407WFP-HC and HDMI 360 - What's the best picture?

I got a 24" Dell 2407WFP-HC and I've also recently got an asian HDMI 360.

What's the best picture possible on this setup?

Is it gonna be VGA or HDMI to DVI?

Does the monitor have internal speakers you want to use or are you using external sound?

Nah, the monitor don't have speakers.

I'm using sound externally.

Going back to using my 360 using VGA the picture looks bright and vivid yet in a dull way.

I'm not sure if I get a HDMI to DVI cable will offer me a better picture than VGA...

In theory, DVI should be the best solution, as you get a digital connection, yet retain the ability to use VGA resolutions. But it's pretty screen-dependent.

If you are using VGA you will need to go to the 360 Display Reference level to Expanded. This should help.

Also go into the settings and turn sharpness down as low as it will go, my Dell had full sharpening as deault. *bleurgh*
