I'm sure there is a simple solution to this, but I've never done it before.
What's the best way to transfer profiles around? Here's the situation. We're playing Rock Band at my friend's house. I've quite a bit of DLC that we'd like to play on my HDD, and I have a memory unit that I use for my game saves. My friend has a HDD with no DLC, and no memory unit. There's a couple more people turning up as well, with no memory units.
So, is my profile held on my 360, the HDD or the memory unit? And can I move it across?
Though I've never done it, I think we can all use his 360 and HDD if we Recover gamertags, but from what I've read, that takes a long time. And then I guess I could redownload my DLC to his HDD, but that seems a daft way to do it.
If the gamertag can be tied to the hardware and also a memory unit/HDD, then we can use his 360 with his tag, I can move my gamesave over to the HDD, and then we can go that route, and my other friends will have to pickup memory units.
Any advice on this is appreciated. It seems far too complex to me
