    Saturn woes...

Bought a second hand (white) Saturn recently. However whenever I turn it off, I lose my gamesaves and have to re-enter the date and time on startup.

Why is it doing this (internal battery) and can it be fixed?

Also, how can I fix a possibly corrupted memory cartridge?

No idea on the cartridge. But if you look at the back of the console there should be a little plastic tab you can unclip. The battery is there, if you replace you wont have to worry about time and save games, till that battery runs out

Yep those are the ones used in the saturn and dreamcast vmus.

Maybe your memory cart needs a new battery is they use battery backup in those.....

the internal battery of your saturn will be dead (i think it charges when your saturn is on but if its dead it will need replacing)

it won't be the memory cart if the time is going as well

I had the exact same problem when I picked up my own Saturn. Camps is right, all you should need to do is replace the battery at the back which clips in, for a new one.

It shouldn't cost much at all.
