Displaying pics in threads How?

hi,
basically like the title says,I have no idea of how to go about doing this.Got a few bits n bobs that I would like to sell here and pics next to the description would be really helpful.The pics are stored in my pc's documents folder,would this be OK or do you need the pics to actually have a web address?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Pop them onto some webspace, and then use the forum image command, or the url command.

If you are stuck for some webspace, send em to me, and I'll host them for you.

thx for the info,could you recommend a free pic hosting site,been meaning for ages to look into this?Thx for the offering of hosting the pics yourself,greatly appreciated but I would like to do it myself instead of relying on the generousity of others all the time.

They offer free hosting (about 50Mb I think) and allows for picture linking (my avator is on there right now )
