Laser cleaning

Hi guys, any tips for cleaning lasers on CD/DVD/BR players etc. I'd rather not open it up but having diffoiculty reading CDs on my SACD player and was gonna get a laser cleaner from MAPLIN. I could open it I guess but would prefer not to.

Personally I'd just use a normal dvd/cd lens cleaner. I am however scared to use one in my cd player, I don't know why, so I can understand your qualms.
