On a (sort of) similar topic, can the app 'anyregion changer' be used to turn your PAL wii into an ntsc one i.e. have full speed/screen n64 games from the VC store?
Can this brick your machine - as I've heard it may do?
As I've primarily been after an NTSC machine, but i'm now thinking a PAL unti would be just as good?

Yeah, you can do just that. You can change the region of the console and the shop.

Haven't done it myself, just from what I've read. I think Charles managed to accidentally lock his JP unit to the UK shop – so be careful!

From the above, I guess he changed shop region and then updated his Wii.

if i do the softmod install will jap and us games play in full screen on a PAL machine+ can i still go online ?
