    Machine cleaned games

    Hey all,

Is there any way of telling whether a disc has been machine cleaned? I'm not really a big fan of it hence the question.

I've been working in a gameshop for seven years and have been handling games checking the discs for all that time. We've recently acquired a machine that repairs discs and when done well I can't tell the difference between one that's new out of the wrapping and one that's been fixed. My boss really likes it.

I don't see anything wrong with it personally, also I can't notice any differences to look at either.

      Repair is good if needed

Well its just a preference for me personally since as a collector i'd prefer my stuff to be in its original condition.

What you will find is that the outer edges of a heavily repaired disc will be slightly rounded and have a soft curve whereas a disc that hasn't been repaired is almost sharp.

PS1 black discs also appear a navy blue colour if they have been heavily repaired.
