Hi, finally got round to buying a Wii a few weeks ago, I absolutely love it, it's providing a nice change of pace from my intense PS3 experiences of late, anyway, back to my question.
I am a firm believer in getting the right cable for the best display possible, so I got an official Nintendo component cable to hook upto my brand new 42" Panasonic plasma.
The difference is amazing stepping up from 50 to 60hz alone but when I select the now newly un-shaded EDTV/HDTV box on the Wii settings, the picture doesn't look as crisp and vibrant as the middle 60hz option, it looks a little washed out on it.
Why is this?
I know the Wii outputs in SD but why have a 3rd option for HDTV's over component when it doesn't seem to add anything to the picture. Is this 3rd option only really noticeable on LCD tele's?
Cheers.
