    Downloading RSS Feeds - Software?

At the moment I use firefox to view RSS feeds, however one I like only keeps 10 stories at a time. I sometimes miss stories as I may not read them for a few days.

Is there any software that automatically saves content in these feeds so that you can view the stories at any time? If there is I am sure someone here would know

I use FeedDemon currently. Good enough.

I preferred feed reader (version 2) but they moved onto Ver.3 which I dislike. Ver.2 got crash happy ;( so I went hunting and FD was the next best I found.

If you're using a Mac then I'd recommend Vienna. I think I used to use RSS Bandit on the PC though.

I know a lot of people just use Google Reader.

I had to code an RSS feed from scratch the other day, was irritating. Unusually it was firefox that was behaving badly, refusing to load the feed despite it being 100% W3C compliant...

Cheers for the advice. FeedDemon will save them all automatically to my PC?

Yup, can't remember specifically but I think it is setup by default to store 100 or 200 messages per feed and it will auto clean the cache.

I have it setup so it will store an unlimited amount and check each feed every five minutes. I clean the cache every 4-5 days as it just starts lagging a tiny amount when it hits the five thousand cached mark on my pc.

If you are going to be pulling down any feeds for podcasts/files then you should tell it if you want it to auto download the linked files or not.

Nice one, thanks. I only follow 2 feeds and a couple of podcasts so I'll take a look into setting that lot up.
