Can any PSP have custom FW put on now?

Struggling to get a PSP with CFW on in the classifieds so pondering just buying one on EBay and putting it on myself.

My own PSP is a launch one (with Spiderman UMD lol )and I did the FW thing a few years ago so can't remember how.

The latest PSPs (3000 series) can't have CFW installed; same with the later versions of the of the PSP Slims (2000 series).
