I was thinking of ordering some US Gamecube games from DVDBO but having read Here I have decided to give it a miss. Can anyone recommend some others whihc do the same sort of thing (cheap, US based etc...)?

you can try www.McVans.com Friendly bunch. Bought from them a few times, plus they ship USPS so it should slip past customs(at least likelier than with UPS or DHL). I looked just now and I didn't see the GC hardware on the site, but give them a call and they'll sort it for you. You have to call them anyways to get correct shipping cost quotes for overseas as the cart function only calculates domestic shipping.
