if i was to set a paypal account up so i could pay people on ebay with out sending cheques all the time do paypal charge me for this service?

im a little confussed about the whole paypal thing any info would be great

If you are sending money only there will be no charge.

You don't get charged for using the service to pay people, but the person receiving the payment loses a small % of it to Paypal to cover their "costs". Hence many sellers bump up the value you pay them artificially (through "handling fees", extra shipping costs etc) to make up for this cut. Nothing much you can do about it unless, like me, you watch people like a hawk and know your postal costs

Paypal do have various charges and fees, it just depends on how you're going to use the account.

If you don't want to send cheques, what's wrong with a Bank transfer. If you have online banking you can probably do it from where you're sitting now, and no charges.
