360 Psu Q

I've just ordered a Japanese 360 which is the latest model and will come with either a 150W or 175W PSU. Will I be able to use my UK 203W PSU from my launch Elite with this new JPN console?

I use a 203W PSU on mine so I'd say so.

203W's work with any model, so you'll be fine.

If it plugs in it will work, the plug is designed so incompatble hardware doesn't physically connect.

I don't suppose anyone knows where I can pick-up a cheap 203W UK PSU so I can sell my Elite?

The very latest Jaspers have a new smaller psu, not sure if the socket is any different and won't acept the 203w psu. Anyone clarify?

AV forums they are on there a fair bit. You could buy a 175w one too, don't need the 203.

I think the very latest Jasper models (the ones that come with 512MB of internal storage memory instead of the previous 256MB) are the ones that come with the new smaller PSU. I've just bought a 256MB Jasper so I think my old UK PSU should be OK.

On a similar note, would anyone recommend getting the x-clamp mod done on a Jasper or is that just being too paranoid? I suppose it's still early days to know whether or not ther redesign is effective or not.
