PS3 Slim NTSC-U

I want a PS3 Slim it needs to be NTSC-U because I dont want to keep switching consoles for Blu-Rays.

Thing is, having been quite lucky getting my PS3 60GB import machines from the UK, im pretty stumped as to were to order a US Slim from.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

NCSX is probably the best bet,they already have them up for preorder, and they will mark it down if you ask

VideoGamesPlus.ca is another shop - that's where I got my US PS3 & Wii from.

They don't seem to have the slim available for preorder yet however.

Bought my PS3 and Wii from VGP too. Probably they will put the console on pre-order once they know how many of them they'll get.

Buy a standalone player. You can get a good one for less than a PS3 now and since the Slim doesn't have PS2 compatibility you're not losing out there given that PS3 games aren't region-coded.

Interestingly they too are selling it for 299.99 - Canadian Dollars. That's 275 USD! (and obviously also cheaper when converted to EUR or GBP)

The only downside of course is shipping costs & custom duties, which probably won't be "slim".

My PS3 has crossed the Atlantic 3 times now, and shipping indeed is not so cheap. Shipments from VGP are consistently ahem lucky about avoiding custom duties, though, IME.

Just to make sure - the US/Canada PS3 Slims work on 220v here in Europe without needing a stepdown, oui?

Like the fat PS3, the slim has an universal PSU (100-240v, IIRC), you just need the right cable.
