here's what i'd like

AMD Turion X2 (RM 72 ) or Athlon X2(QL 64,65) , dedicated graphics card , plus only a budget of 500. open to suggestions but no Intel thanks, is it possible?

between £400 and £500 you can get a Turion x2 RM 74 or 76 with 2-3gb of ram from ebuyer or dabs (just browse through the site to have a loot at the range. I'd recommend avoiding Acer ones). All the laptops come with radeon 3200 which isn't an outstanding card but from what I can gather, it'll run bioshock at a 20-40fps on medium 1024x864.

I'd aim for 3gb of ram
