As the title says are there any users of any iterations of cubase here? I'm thinking of buying the new "studio case" they've bought out with has a Starter Edition of Cubase SX which can be upgraded for a cheaper price as well as Five Starter Editions of VST instruments. I've never really tried my hand at any of these music programmes apart from sibelius so I just wondered if anyone could give me some advice as to whether this studio case is worth getting for a begginer and how you went about learning how to use the programme.

I'm a big fan of cubase, but i'm afraid i've never made the leap to SX, so couldn't tell you if the package was good or not... however, i'd say not to worry with learning it - the official suppport forums used to be a wonderous place for newbies and seasoned cubasers alike. I'd be surprised if they've even lost a smidgen of their charm.
