Faulty Winning Eleven 7? Help please

I have just bought Winning Eleven 7 from Japan, and it does not load, the Playstation 2 sign appears then the machine makes a deep whiring sound n goes back to the browser screen. When i insert a different game after this as well it says please insert Playstation 2 disc. I own an SCPH100000 is it my machine thats the problem or the game, i know a few early versions freeze SCPH100000 but i thought that had been cleared up and ws just the first batch. Ps i have tried inserting PSone games then put in WE7 or a cdrom game then put in WE7 but still does the same thing.

It indeed looks like youve got one of the early batch I'm afraid.

Only two options it looks like are either to send back your copy (if you can) and get a new one, or upgrade your machine to a later model.

Good news it works now if i insert a DVD rom game before, i will have to get a new PS2. Thanks for the help
