    New Wireless Surround Sound Headphones?

Right, my old surround sound headphones finally bought it last night. Left headphone snapped off.*grumble* So i'm looking for a better replacement, not too much expensive. My old ones are these http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/p...-31225550.html

Have you considered the Turtle Beach X41?

Those are about 140 quid or so - what would you use them with?

Well, the X41s work for both PS3 and 360 and have a simulated dolby 7.1 surround.

Been toying with the idea of getting a pair for myself, the wireless would be really useful to have, but I'm hearing conflicting reports saying that the Astrogaming a40s are much better even though they're only 5.1 and wired.

Also its only dolby digital as far as i can tell. DTS is a must have for me, so i'm not going to go for these. My old ones cost about the same a year and a half ago.

You got your old ones a year and a half ago for around 150 quid? Why not just get another pair of those then, you probably won't find anything better for a similar price.

I was hoping technology would have evolved a bit by then and prices gone down.

They have gone up a little bit and the postage is quite steep.

I know it's not quite what you looking for but have you considered a decent set of wired phones and just plug them into the decoder you already have?

Either that or get some araldite epoxy and fix that headset you have.

Will that araldite epoxy sort it Sanchez? If so, any tips on how to hold it in place. I'm not so good with the diy stuff. ;P

If you get the two part epoxy (they sell it in Halfords/Homebase/Poundland etc), mix it up as instructed, get some plastic you can afford to lose that is similar to the headphones (glasses?) and try it out. If you add just a little bit more hardener it will set very quickly, espcially if you get someone to apply a little heat with a hairdrier (from about 2 feet away, you don't want to 'cook' it)

If that fails you could try epoxy paste, same sort of thing but it's like plasticine, you mix it with your hands and it sets like steel.
