soundsystem for a pc (speakers et al)

ok, i know some of you lot have some awesome gaming setups, but what about your pcs? i'm after a decent speaker setup for the pc... i know you can get sets with subs and stuff, but what about cross-breeding with hi-fi kit? can you bolt on amps and assorted things like that?

Well, if your PC has some sort of optical out or similar, you can wire it to an amp and have the same setup as any console malarky. I think what I might do is if/when I replace the livingroom amp one day, it'll find its way to the PC here.

In the meantime, I find Cambridge Soundworks speakers to be fine tbh. ?50 a long time ago saw me a set of these 4.1 things - quality is good.
