Which SCART splitter box from Argos?

I'm after a SCART splitter box with at least 2 RGB capable sockets on it. Argos have 4 to choose from but the catalogue doesn't give any details as to how many of the sockets carry an RGB signal. Can anyone help me?

    The products available are:

SCART Video Unit -looks like it has 4 SCART sockets, manual switching. This unit looks to have some phono inputs on it as well. ?9.75

3 SCART to 1 SCART -looks a blue kind of colour, 3 SCART sockets, manual switching. ?9.75

5 in 1 SCART block - black box with some kind of white line diagram on it, manual switching.
    ?19.99 reduced from ?24.99 apparently.

Acoustic Research Electronic SCART block - 4 SCART sockets, also has phono inputs. Automatic switching. ?24.99

I have one from Argos with 4 scart sockets (1 goes into the telly). RGB on all sockets and manual switching.

    Only cost a tenner.

I assume it's the first one you mention in your post...

I'm under the impression the 3 to 1 is the one to go for. Seems to be the one most use on the forum.

Speaking of the forum, I know this topic has come up before so please do a search before making a new thread.

Looking at the Argos website the one I have got, which I think is the one everyone recommends, is called "SCART Video Unit" and has the code 534/2361.

It is fully wired for RGB and works great

Anyone knows where I can buy this online with delivery to Belgium?
Argos doesn't ship outside the UK...

Be careful with the mixer buttons (2nd and third from left, next to RGB toggle). Fiddle with them until they are both UP, otherwise you'll get a blue tinge to your picture.

                    I am looking into the

                    Acoustic Research Electronic SCART block

It seems to be the best. It will automatically let your TV switch the thing that was switched on last so you don't even have to switch it over at the box. Bit more expensive but its automatic.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, get the RGB switcher from index it's exactly the same(internally) as the argos switcher but has a steel outer casing and it of a much better build quality.
Both offer the same video signal and both are superb but the index one is the better option

Just a query regarding the metal case Argos Scart Switcher as illustrated above.

Does anyone know what the B-A & C-A buttons do, and are for, next to the RGB button?

Also can anyone explain what signal the TV takes if RGB isn't selected on the box? Becuase the quality is worse (like my old Gamecube cable before I bought the official Nintendo one) as I'd expect, but what sort of signal is it if it isn't RGB?

                        thanks for ya help

They route video out from B or C to A, for eg. recording a video source connected to B or C on a vcr connected to A.

The signal is probably composite video.

The RGB signal is still sent to your TV when the RGB button isn't pressed down, but the signal that tells your TV to switch to RGB is removed. This will give you composite video instead, if it is being provided in addition to RGB video by the video source.
