A quick question

Are the Gameboy players region free meaning would a PAL unit work with a US/JPN modded Cube ?

The players themselves can be used on any region.

It's the actual boot-disc that is region locked.

No, you don't understand. You'll need a Freeloader to be able to use the disk that boots the unit, or it won't work.

I do understand,

I wanted to get a PAL GB player to go with my US cube.

I will just get a US GB player now though
