    Email hacked!

I've got some sort of virus which sends out an automated vacation reply to all of my contacts - the usual gubbins about cheap iPods or something. If I reset the automated reply to nothing it goes away for a day or two... it's quite annoying, and some of my chums are starting to get annoyed. Any ideas? I really don't want to cancel the account (Hotmail btw) because I've had it for about twelve years; it has my full name as the address so it's useful for business purposes, too. Any ideas?

Sounds like you're using a client to connect to Hotmail at the moment? Until you get it cleaned, why don't you stick to using it in a browser - that way no out of office message can be sent because the mail never hits the client.

Then make sure you have any viruses/trojans/spyware cleaned from the PC (Or build from scratch if that doesn't work) and you'll be set to go again.
