Wireless help

A friend has got sky broadband and the router they supply (netgear i believe).

Problem is , is that the laptop works fine but they can't get a iTouch or a PS3 to connect wirelessly. I told him to try the ipod around his mates house and it was fine.

Anything i can suggest to him as sky wont help at all with non-pc items.
