    AOL - Halifax..

Just before Christmas, I had trouble using Halifax on line (www.halifax.co.uk) I gave them a call and they said it was a AOL fault.

I'm having trouble even getting the main page to load (It times out)

Could a AOL user possibly try halifax online for me...

    Thanks.

I think they are fibbing, it times out for me a few times the other day on the login screen. I am not with AOL.

THings are so different in the Uk these days from when I lived there 11 years ago. Who would have thought the Halifax becoming a net provider. Things must be bad for them,

LOL - No I meant their webserver must have issues. They are still a bank/building society.

What i can't believe is that AOL still have customers? :S

The "Internet for retarded folk" excuse doesn't even hold water nowadays. People must actually LIKE to throw away their money, rather than use a decent service like o2.

Well..I have AOL at my English address and AOL at my Welsh address...had a few problems, but been with them for over ten years. Its the customer services...now that can be a joke. Halifax over the phone on the other hand...a complete joy. Never had one idiot from them and that includes loads of telephone banking for around 4 years before sorting it out on-line.

Get away from them quick!!! I used to work AOL customer service in becogent. I can tell you that they employ anyone and everyone. Very few people have ANY IT experience.

Make the switch to o2 broadband. It's the best service in the UK, hands down.

I'm changing addresses again soon. I will take your o2 recommendation

I have been with o2 on my phone for years and not only has the service been great, the customer services are professional and helpful.
