ps2 max drive save files on ps3?

Hi guys, I'm looking to get a copy of fire pro wrestling returns and i want know if there is anyway that these max files from game faqs, http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/save/927675.html , will work on the ps3? It would be nice to have all the old wrestlers from the start without having to create them all...

best way would be to use a ps2 to extract the .max onto (I have AR max which would do it), and then an official memcard reader for PS3 (the USB one), to read the save file off onto the PS3 system. I can't think of any other way to do it and I don't think AR MAX runs on a PAL 60GB system, it never did on mine on older firmwares anyway.

You can only decrypt a PS2 save file also, not encrypt it for ps3, using psvexporter. So that method wouldn't work either. If you have a spare PS2 kicking about and a memcard, and USB memcard adaptor, you .. might be able to do it
