    Playing import titles on Gamecube

    Hey all

Today I picked up a modded gamecube, that has Cobra 1.1 bios installed. I have no idea what chip. I'm pretty excited because I can finally play Kururin Squash!

    So a few questions -
does anyone know how you upgrade firmware from Cobra 1.1? I think I either need an SD adapter or a mini DVD, but i'm not sure.

Can I use a SD adapter (with SD) for saving?

and finally, and most importantly, can I save to my EU memory card without formatting up my precious super monkey ball replays?

    Thanks heaps.

No games use the SD adapter to save, only for things pictures. I don't know if this Cobra OS can do it though.

EU and JP saves can't go on the same memory card when using the standard OS...Cobra? No clue.

Really? I did a search after I posted, some people say EU and JP, others say US and EU (go on the same card). I managed to get hold of another card on short notice so I should be okay Kururin Squash appears to rely on a system font the EU BIOS doesn't have for it's game text, because it's all it's subtitles are mangled looking, wonder if there's a way to get around that.

Why not get an NTSC cube? Simple switched one will support Jap and US.
You can't mix JAP and any other saves. Your card will show as corrupted and may be formatted.

I don't see a need to now that i've got a modded gc?
