    Blackberry bluetooth greyed out

    Anyone know stuff about blackberry?
I have one 2nd hand from a friend, but can't get the thing to connect via bluetooth. It does connect via usb fine.

I can search other devices from the blackberry, but the actual connection to my laptop fails because the laptop says the blackberry is hidden. However the "allow another device to find me" on the blackberry is "disabled by system administrator"....

Can't find anything helpful with my search skills.

This is a common problem when you use the device too often surfing for pr0n.

      What model is it?

Might be worth asking the person you go it off if they set anything up on it that would require admin rights?

Maybe take a look on the Crackberry Forums. I'm new to all this Blackberry stuff, but it's been useful for me so far.

            Finally figured this out.....
The blackberry desktop software only works with the Windows XP bluetooth stack.
I was using the latest bluesolei drivers

However, the windows stack is fairly limited in which adapters it will accept, so I had to edit the bth.inf file with the Pid (found in properties in device manager) of my cheapo adapter so that windows was fooled into thinking it's an approved device and automatically installed bluetooth drivers.

            So in case anyone searches:
