Yu Suzuki Gameworks - can it be forced into VGA?

I know it might not be the best way to display the game but my Dreamcast is only set up via VGA and I really want to play Power Drift in silky smooth 60fps

I can't seem to find solid confirmation of this anywhere. The net is full of conflicting advice.

Yu's Gameworks does not support VGA at all, but you can force it too , like other games
