I'm asking this for a housemate. He currently has an X-Fi XtremeAudio, and this has an optical input. He connects his PS3 into this, so he can connect it to his analogue-only 5.1 speakers. However, it only works as 2.0 because the XtremeAudio cannot decode the DD/DTS input.
Is there such a card that can do this? We looked into the Xonar DS/DX, but they don't seem to have an optical input at all!
