    Windows 7 Time Capsule problem

Right then....We had a powercut this morning and now my Windows 7 based PC will not connect to my Time Capsule. My MBP sees the Time Capsule fine and backs up via Time Machine without an issue but on start-up the PC says that the ' Airport Disk 'Andy's Time Capsule' is available and I can connect with my password. However...it times out and states that it 'Could not connect to the disk. Make sure Netbios is enables and try again 53'

I haven't changed anything at all and trawling through the net doesn't help me out so I'm hoping that someone on here can help me out!

    Many thanks

    Andy

Looks like an IP or naming issue issue to me. I'm assuming the Time Machine is some sort of WiFi Storage?

*Netbios is a basic protocol for naming and should be enabled by default so i would check the name on the TM and make sure there are no spaces or characters ('';' etc) as Netbios can be finicky with name resolution*

I would uninstall it from your PC, and then reboot your PC so that it re-installs it and then reconfigure the TM to connect to your router. If still no joy, totally unistall it, drivers and all and then reinstall everything.

For something like this, i personally would shove it on a static IP and create an exception on the router to the mac address of the TM so that it never suffers any DHCP leasing isuues. Not difficult.

Managed to sort it by restoring the TC to factory settings and going through the setup again so cheers for the advice NemesiS.
