    Cross Fire with 4890

    Hi,

I bought a new PC from overclockers.co.uk. The mobo can utilise Cross Fire and I already have 1 ATI 4890.

I've read getting another in cross fire can give great benefits.

    Is this true?

How does cross fire work, must it be an 4890 exact same asmy curren one or can it be any 4890?

How exactly is it set up?

    Cheers

Another in crossfire will give you a fair speed boost but only on supported games.

I believe it should be the same memory for best results but I'm not sure it matters if it's a different brand.

Be warned that the 4890 is incredibly power hungry, your PSU may not cope (I'd guess you need 750W minimum). You may be better served selling your current 4890 and buying a 5850. Go over to Toms hardware and look at their benchmarks to find the best bang:buck.
