    Import 360 advice

I've just bought a Japanese 360 off our very own Gingerling, but need some advice.
Can I use my UK harddrive and my UK profile on it?
If I can't can I import games from my UK machine to the Japanese one?

I just like the idea of having a dedicated shooty 360 that is filled with shmup love.

Japanese console will play fine with a UK HD and gamertag. What you can do is recover your gamertag to the japanese machine and transfer over the XBLA shumps to it. I think that's what you want to do.

As Fastware said, your UK HDD and profile will be fine.

One thing you need to be aware of is that DLC is tied to the console it was originally downloaded to and can't be used offline on another console. If you're always connected to Live it's not really an issue though.

Your JP machine will need it's own HDD for that, surely? Otherwise it'll be filled with the same **** as your UK one.

If you're gonna be switching between multiple 360s all the time (that each have their own HDD), I'd recommend getting a Memory Unit and keeping your profile on it instead of a HDD so you can just plug the MU into whatever console you're gonna use and be Live-ready in an instant.

(the last time I had to recover my gamertag, it took well over 2 hours)

The good thing about the JP shmups, is that they don't take up much space when you install them (EspGaluda II is only 400-odd MB) so even a 20GB one can hold loads of them.

hmm that might be an issue as I think it's been flashed. Ho hum it's not the end of the world.
