PS3's keep turning on by themselves

I've got Remote Play via internet switched on, after finally realising why I couldn't remote start from outside my house. Now the PS3's randomly turn on by themselves. I read this "depends on the type of router". That seems a bit vague to me. Does anybody know how to stop it from happening?

I have UPnP support and I've got TCP and UDP 9293 forwarded. I'm connected to an O2 Wireless Box 2. I have a Netgear DG843G I could use also.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

I had this problem as well, but couldn't fix it (Thomson/SpeedTouch router). I gave up after messing with the ports which didn't seem to help.

Some routers don't handle "the wake up on lan" properly and acidentally wake up everything every 30 seconds or so. What then happens is your PS3 wakes up and waits for a PSP to connect. No PSP connects so it goes back to sleep. Then your router wakes it again etc. Eventually the PS3 detects that this isn't a good idea and disables the feature. Your router is one of the ones that doesn't work. It'll never work mate. I've spent several hours investigating this.

I now have a Sky Sagem router. Might give that a go and see if I an get it to work.

      EDIT: Yay!
