Regza 42Z3030D Problem

I've had Toshiba Regza 42Z3030D for about 18 months and it's been great but over the last few days it's started going back into standby when turning it on from standby it will do it about 3 or 4 times over a 10 minute period from turning it on then it will be fine.

Anyone got ideas what could be wrong with it and is it the start of bigger problem.

my first instincts are to check there is nothing on the guide set to record and that there is no infra red interference coming from anywhere
