    Dead pixel problem

I bought an LG M2762D LCD TV/Monitor combo.

Dont get me wrong, picture & repsonse is a lot better than that LG 32L5000 piece of crap I had to send back. However I have noticed 1 dead pixel which only shows up as a red dot when theres black in the background but its pretty visible & it pisses me off.

I have heard that you can rub it or push that area in & it may disappear, or should I send it back for a replacement?

...........or is there something else I could do?

I have the same problem. Put up with it now for about 3 months. I couldn't be arsed sending it back. It doesn't bothers me when I'm using it. However, I would love to know how to fix it. If possible.

Black (DEAD) pixels can't be repaired. But stuck pixels (coloured ones) can sometimes be unstuck by gentle rubbing. I've had success with this once. Just don't push too hard and don't expect it to work.

I wonder if that PSP stuck pixel fixer video thingy could work?

There are several stuck pixel thingies on the web. Leave them cycling overnight. If they haven't fixed it by the morning, not much point in carrying on. This worked for me once, but not on my current monitor
