Saveable Highscores with Mamex

I posted this question a few weeks ago but didnt get any response so thought I would try again
Does anyone know how to save highscores with mameX, I have noticed an option in the general menu for Savestate and Loadstate, which indicate the possibility of being able to save Highscores, but these options do not seem to work but cause my Xbox to seize up and then I need to reboot.
It would be great to be able to save the highscores on MameX, does anyone Know how to do this or able to suggest a alternative solution

I have Mameox which may work the same, not sure.

What I did was put a highscore.dat file into the hiscore folder, and it works fine

If you want a highscore.dat file, pm me and I will email you one.
