Interesting "issue" here... using Firefox 3.6.3 on my new laptop and all is reasonably well. However if I open a file when I click on it (as opposed to save) then while it remains in my downloads list within the browser, the temp file stored within Local Settings/Temp is deleted when I close Firefox. It doesn't do this on my old laptop, same OS, same version of Firefox. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? Means I have to redownload anything I merely opened the next time I might want to use it (but not save to store).

Yeah, it's still listed in Firefox's download list, just the actual temp file vanishes when I shut Firefox. I'm not sure if that's what IS supposed to happen, and some setting on my previous laptop stops that occurring for whatever reason, or whether it's a bug.Lie with passion and be forever damned...

Strictly speaking, all opened rather than saved files get dumped in the temp folder and that should be cleared out on exit or at set times (it's a real pain when temp folders don't get cleared). Probably a case of a newer version of firefox having different default settings (if you updatean old version, it will keep as much of the old settings as possible)
