Force feedback steering wheel for an XBOX?

i am actually completely surprised that none exist (do they?).

i was thinking of buying a logitech force feedback one for the ps 2 and a controller convertor. would that actually work?

what does everyone else do? am i the only one sad enough to what one for colin mccraig....?

any help, advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've been banging on about a FF wheel for the XB for ages as well.

Shocking consdiering the XB hosts some of the better racers.

I got a Lotus steering wheel, but it doesn't support feedback according to the box. I haven't tried it out due to knee injury and lack of space/time

But I am looking forward to try it out with NASCAR Thunder 2004

          Here you go

Apparently it`s 100% compatible with all games and can adjust the FF via the wheel itself. Looks interesting.

It's "rumble" feedback, hardly the same as a Logitech wheel although it kind of works OK. Crap wheel overall though, I'd avoid.

For the love of god don't get that. I have the version without pedals (it's the same wheel, but with analogue paddles for throttle and break control), and it has a 20 degree deadzone on either side of centred, making it impossible to make fine adjustments. It's absolutely useless, and I've never used the bloody thing since I tried it.

****. so there are no decent wheels for the xbox. that's depressing. what is the best one? the madcat one? the saitek one? has anyone had a really good experience with one of these things. i'd always imagined they would add a whole new level to racing games...

Open it up and spray some WD40 on the spring/potentiometer that controls the steering, it should solve the problem as it did on one of my wheels.

You'd think Microsoft could release a decent wheel for the Xbox. Their wheel on the PC was highly successfull. CMR04, Toca LIVE, PGR2 all deserve a decent wheel.

                      Maybe we could petition MS?

I ended up buying the PS2 version of CMR04 just because i had a logi ff wheel already. Now i can play with a wheel but im stuck with slowdown on the ps2 version?!?

                      Nice

Pleading with MS might prove futile. A month or two back, I read that they were ending production of all their (PC) Sidewinder products. That and their lack of support for the PC wheels (very few driver revisions), don't inspire confidence in me. It's a shame to be sure. I own the original MSFF wheel and would love to have the same thing on the Xbox. We'd probably have quite a wait for the games to be 'true' force-feedback enabled though... Still, fingers crossed

Apparently there is one coming, to coincide with the release of Forza

I just looked for the Speedster 3 Force Shock on Amazon.de -
The exact same wheel is already available for the PS2, so if want to see how it fares check some PS2 version reviews.
On Amazon there were four user reviews and out of those three with negative comments about the wheel (rating: 1-2 stars).
The main complaint is that it didn?t last very long (4-6 weeks).

There is also just a Speedster 3 available (no Force Shock) that was rated two times with five stars.

By the way, the diagram in which the Speedster 3 is compared to other wheels is laughable.

As others have said, I've always been led to believe the Xbox doesn't support force feedback.

Rumble is all you get. Hence for force feedback I'm forced to play PS2 when all my fave driving games are Xbox-imprisoned.

                              How very pooor.
