I know you dont have LIVE, but if you do at any point make sure you avoid the official M$ stuff when it comes to headsets utter crap all of them! Turtle Beach FTW! I very often use them even when not in an online game they sound so good.

Cept they're far far too much.

Anyway, NTSC on my JP 360 means I don't need to worry about refresh rates.

Neither do I now I've got that all sorted.

Just wish I'd chosen a better first XB360 game. Ace Combat 6 is everything I'd hoped it wouldn't be. Prettied up graphics and yawn inducingly long but, of course, good looking storyline FMV.

Nothing in the gameplay has actually been improved but the inevitable additional of a big new idea, just to prove it is different from previous games are two very RPG-like features: a super-charged attack and what amounts to a power-up when under the ESM (electronic support measures) umbrella.

Worse though is that they spent all the rest of the XB360's processing power on cramming it to the gills with what are effectively respawning enemies. Short lived but noticeable slowdown is the occasional consequence. The real problem though is that it makes the game just a bit boring at times.

Tipped it too far into the arcade shooter camp for my taste - a clear case of more not necessarily making things better.
