Soul Calibur 2 JAP and MC PAL

I'm using a Pal Gamecube with freeloder to play SC2 JAP, but I can't find a way to format the card, and turning autosave on.
How can I format it to JAP?

Pleaze close, problem solved....you just needed to empty the MC manually ant then do the Y button press on the save game menu

You don't even have to format it...
Freeloader saves Japanese games on European or American memcards, in the same format.
Only Japanese consoles need a seperate Japanese memcard.
