360 dead soon?

My 360 red rings occasionly but generally i just turn the power off and on and it works again, however now the screen cuts out, goes black then comes back after 10seconds or so.

Ive tried to mimic the symptoms by fiddling with the hdmi cable however i cant get the same results...which must mean its internal? ah crap

Could be one of those HDCP HDMI handshake things. Try a different HDMI cable, just in case.

I had a 360 that I'd turn on and sometimes have no image via HDMI, but sound via optical was fine. Turned it on and off once or twice and it would be fine. It only ever happened on startup. I ended up replacing it.

Its the same cable i use for my ps3, i just ran 3:10 to yuma on blu ray for hour or so with no problems, ive got a baddd feeling about this !

It could still be the cable, but yeah, probably the 360 on it's way out

i tried the 360 on component and had no problems, i guess it must be the cable, kind of weird though that the problem only occurs after 15mins or so, and not straight away, i hate it when these kind of things go wrong

Sounds like what my 360 started doing before it E74'd. The image would disappear, and eventually come back. Sound would play fine throughout.
