Using an NTSC Gamecube partnered with an NTSC Gameboy Player, is it possible to link up a UK Metroid Fusion with a US Metroid Prime and unlock the fusion suit?

My apologies, just realised this should of been posted in Questions and Advice. -
I don't see any problem regarding using a UK Metroid Fusion, since it's the same game as the 'american' one, and there's no territorial lock, as you probably know already.
