Windows folder sorting

This has really been bugging me:

I'm constantly saving images to quickly upload them somewhere. I sort by date to make this easier but Windows keeps putting some new images at random points in the folder making looking for the images a pain in the arse. Anyone know why this happens and how to prevent it?

What do you mean random images?

Random like this:

I mean when displaying tiles of the images, it sometimes doesn't put the image right at the bottom of the window but at some random point halfway through the window.
