Psp repairs, cheapest

Heyas, just got given an old psp here silver psp 2003 , only thing wrong is the screen, its a lil tatty, needs a battery cover too methinks.

Anyone know the cheapest place t oget a screen for it and any other parts? or does someone have another broken PSP with a fault that aint the screen lol.

I totally fell outta gaming so havent a clue on any of this any more but would love some help.

Getting it repaired will probably cost close to the price of a new console.

Have a look on ebay for replacement shells and look up some guides to changing the case to see if you think you can do it yourself.

MrModChips has all the parts you might need but looking at the prices you'd be better off just going to CEX or Game and buying another pre-owned console.

Dealextreme.com has a lot of PSP parts. It's not the original Sony stuff, but things like battery covers and analog sticks work great.

always worth checking ebay as well. mrmodchips will only sell you the same stuff on ebay/dealextreme but with a massive markup.

Replacing the PSP front is a doddle, at least it was on the original PSP model Just make sure you do it in a fairly dust free environment - the screen itself is a magnet for the stuff.

Ah, fab many ideas to try there, looks like the 2000 model is harder to come by on ebay hence more expensive....
