Manual states that I should deactivate the old PS3 before I transfer the data, but the manual is clearly geared towards replacing the original unit - I'm going to be keeping both units.
The 60GB will become essentially a US Blu-Ray player, with the Slim being used for everything else. But it would be nice to have the data in both places, and I have only a single PS3 activation (I've never shared any content) so it shouldn't be a problem should it?
It's not a massive problem, I'm happy to download purchases again and copy the few saves that I might need across if necessary but it seems like the transfer utility should be the ideal route to take.
