Romeo Mod, or how to fix moded PS2

V9 are really easy to romeo mod though because all you need to do is lift a chip and solder the leg with some kynar to the 5v point, v12 are a little more complicated.

Yes that lifting the leg part sounds familiar.
I also remember that the wire had to run from one side of the board to the other and having to thread the wire under/over some components to keep the length as short as possible.

Guess you just used another 5v point.

Very likely. The mod itself hadn't been around all that long at the time.

I did it to my V9 recently and it changed the loading noises, so I reverted it.
